Important Notice – Compliance with the UK Online Safety Act

UK Online Safety Act : Safe-for-Work (SFW) vs Not-Safe-for-Work (NSFW) Guidelines

Updated over 2 weeks ago

Following the introduction of the new UK Online Safety Act, we are required to implement changes to ensure full compliance with the new legal requirements.

The legislation mandates that all platforms hosting adult content (including user-generated content) must take effective steps to prevent minors from accessing pornographic or sexually explicit material. This includes any content featuring nudity, sexual acts, or fantasies intended to cause arousal.

Failure to comply could result in access restrictions, significantly impacting the public visibility of the entire platform.

Our solution: Maintain public visibility with targeted age verification

To avoid placing the entire website behind a general age gate, we have adopted a solution that:

  • Keeps the platform publicly accessible;

  • Requires age verification only for NSFW (Not Safe For Work) content;

  • Allows you to continue promoting your services in a compliant manner, without limiting your reach or visibility.

However, this solution requires your cooperation.

What you need to do

To remain visible in the public areas of SIMPLEESCORTS, you must update your profile content to meet “SFW” (Safe For Work) standards, as outlined below.

We are currently processing a high volume of content reviews, so we strongly recommend making your updates as soon as possible to avoid service interruptions.

We understand this may cause inconvenience, but please note that these changes are required by law and are essential to ensure ongoing platform availability and legal compliance.

Guidelines: SFW vs NSFW Content

SFW (Safe For Work – Allowed in Public Areas)

Examples of acceptable content:

Visual Content:

  • Fully clothed individuals or modest attire (e.g. casual, workwear)

  • Swimwear, lingerie, or sportswear shown in a non-sexualised context

  • Suggestive but non-explicit poses (no nudity or sexual simulation)

  • Portraits, selfies, or everyday lifestyle photos

  • Artistic or editorial photos without nudity or sexual emphasis

  • Thumbnails or banners without intimate exposure or sexual gestures

Text Content (applies to Free Gallery Photo Descriptions and Group Descriptions):

  • Playful, flirty, or suggestive language (e.g. “Looking for fun?”, “Let’s chat…”)

  • Descriptions of interests or services avoiding graphic sexual details

  • Use of light emojis or innuendos that don’t explicitly reference sex (e.g. 😉, 🔥, 💬)

NSFW (Not Safe For Work – Allowed only after Age Verification)

Examples of content that must NOT appear in public areas:

Visual Content:

  • Full or partial genital nudity, exposed nipples or buttocks

  • Real or simulated sex acts (oral, penetration, masturbation, intercourse)

  • Fetish or BDSM content, sex toys, bondage or domination scenarios

  • Sexual gestures or poses even if clothed (e.g. suggestive thrusting or moaning)

  • Explicit pornographic or AI-generated erotic imagery

Text Content (applies to Free Gallery Photo Descriptions and Group Descriptions):

  • Graphic descriptions of sex acts (e.g. “I love it deep…”, “Watch me [action]”)

  • References to body fluids, ejaculation, or violent sexual scenarios

  • Phrases clearly soliciting sexual acts (e.g. “Come f*** me now”)

  • Emoji combinations or phrases intended to provoke sexual arousal (e.g. 🍆, 🍑, 💦, 🔞)

General Rule:

If a reasonable person would view the image or text and conclude it was primarily created to cause sexual arousal, it is NSFW and must be restricted to verified users only.

These requirements apply to all profiles and groups that wish to remain publicly visible, regardless of location.
